Broadcast Journalist
Video Production
If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is certainly worth more. The complexities of video provide journalists with a multi-dimensional storytelling platform where primary, secondary and tertiary techniques determine how the audience views and perceives the composition of images and audio.
Commercial
Feature Story
In 2015, I produced this 30 second commercial about a local bakery in Salt Lake City. I recorded all of the footage at the bakery and interviewed the owner of the store to clearly understand the history and goal of the family business. Then I wrote the script, recorded my narration and edited the footage and audio using Adobe Premiere.
In my video production class I was required to work with three other students to produce this video featuring the University of Utah Red Rocks. During our spring break in 2016, we interviewed the gymnasts and their coach as they prepared for the upcoming Nationals.
